Bolesław Parasion was born in Suchodoly on the December 9, 1950 in the Lublin Voivodeship (Province) in Poland. In 1958, his family moved to Cycow where he completed his primary education. His parents couldn't afford to provide an art education for their son, so he attended a trade school where he obtained a technical degree. Immediately after he started to work in his acquired profession. All the while, he continued to paint and sculpt in his free time. In 1980, he took over a small farm, which allowed him to give more time to his passion - wood relief carving. From 1981 on, Boleslaw started to sell his works to "Cepelia" a folk art store chain. After his one man exhibit in Warsaw organized for him by Cepelia, interest in his work grew. He began to take part in various art competitions (1983 - "Ojciec Swiety Jan Pawel II - Pielgrzym do Jasnogorskiej Pani, Nadziei Narodu Polskiego (award in "The Holy Father John Paul II - Pilgrim to the Lady of Jasnagóra - the Hope of the Polish Nation art competition organized by the Bishop's Diocese Museum ; 1986 - he won an award in a "Przeciw wojnie (Against war)" art exhibit ; 1989 - one-man art show in Munster, Germany; 1990 - a group art exhibit organized by Cepelia in Thun, Switzerland; 1996 - "Boze Narodzenie - tradycja i wspolczesnosc (Christmas - tradition and the present ") -; 1998 - "Droga do Polski - walka o niepodleglosc w wyobrazeniu tworcow ludowych (The Road to Poland - a fight for independace expressed through the work of folk artists" - III place award, 1999 - "Miedzy Wisla a Bugiem (Between Wisla and the Bug Rivers)" organized by the Foundation of the Folk Art Association - Ist place award.

Boleslaw Parasion also paints on wood. Currently, he is carving sculptures for indyvidual collectors, for private commissions as well as for galleries. His works can also be great interior decorations, whether it be for the lobby of the newcastle hotel or a bank in Shanghai, a Los Angeles restaurant or Capetown public gardens – their universal beauty will always improve their appearance.
In 2000, he sculpted a figure of Saint Francis commissioned by the city of Assisi in Italy - the birth place of the saint. The sculpture was placed in the house where St. Francis had lived. He has on his account also sculpted series like "The Stations of the Cross " or "7 Days of The Creation " about God's creating the World.
